چکیده
Understanding spatial and temporal dynamics of soil water within fields is critical for effective variable rate irrigation (VRI) management. The objectives this study were to develop VRI zones, manage rates examine differences in volumetric content (VWC) from events via sensors across zones. Five zones delineated after two years (2016 2017) yield evapotranspiration (ET) data collection. Soil placed each zone give real time VWC values assist decisions a 23 ha field winter wheat (Triticum aestivum ‘UI Magic’) near Grace, Idaho, USA (2019). Cumulative among ranged 236 298 mm. Although statistical comparison could not be made, the 0.6 21% less than an estimated uniform grower standard practice (GSP) approach. Based on sensor data, crop stress was avoided with management all but Zone 3. Thus, simple approach delineation monitoring has potential reduce irrigation, such as study, average by 12% should evaluated other site-years assess its viability.

Crop irrigation uses more than 70% of the world's water, and thus, improving irrigation efficiency is decisive to sustain the food demand from a fast-growing world population. This objective may be accomplished by cultivating more water-efficient crop species and/or through the application of efficient irrigation systems, which includes the implementation of a suitable method for precise schedu...
متن کاملIrrigation scheduling and winter wheat grain yield estimation under precipitation uncertainty – A case study in Badjgah area (Fars Province, Iran)
Addressing deficit irrigation scheduling (DIS) for strategic crop production (especially wheat) under precipitation uncertainty is a priority for irrigation scheduling in drought conditions. This research investigated the precipitation uncertainty by enacting optimistic and pessimistic scenarios for the next 20 years by considering the statistical record of climate in Badjgah area. DIS was cond...

Although the term precision irrigation is now quite widely used, often to mean drip irrigation, there is no commonly accepted definition or conceptualisation of the term, and no cohesive framework to guide research, development or adoption. This paper is reporting on a review of precision irrigation funded by NPSI. This review is considering the role of current irrigation application technologi...
